KRIŽNA JAMA- Cross Cave (Križna jama) is a world-famous karstic cave. It is famous for the rich site of extinct cave bears' bones. Tunnels, full of stalagmites and stalactites as well as 47 lakes are a symbol of underground beauty.

CERKNIŠKO JEZERO – Lake Cerknica (Cerkniško jezero) is an intermittent lake appearing in the southern part of Cerknica polje (Cerknica field).When full, it is the largest lake in the country. It is 10 km long and 5 km wide. The surface of the lake can reach up to 38 km2. Lake Cerknica is an important wildlife resort, especially as a nesting place for several bird species.

GRAD SNEŽNIK - Castle Snežnik (Grad Snežnik) lies near the small village Kozarišče. The name Snežnik (Schneeberg – »Snowy mountain«) was mentioned in 1461 but the first written documents about the castle are from 1269. The inside furniture from the 19th century is still well preserved.

RAKOV ŠKOCJAN - Škocjan Caves
Rakov Škocjan is a system of limestone caves in the Kras (Karst) region in southwestern Slovenia, containing collapsed dolines, about 5 kilometres of underground passages, caves more than 200 metres deep and many waterfalls. This is one of the most famous sites in the world for the study of karstic (limestone) phenomena.
